Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler: Review

Hello Friends,

I’m super excited to bring you this post today! I got to work with a fantastic company called Kiss. Today I’m going to review the revolutionary KISS InstaWave, it is a fully automatic tangle-free curler that instantly creates beautiful, long-lasting curls with ease (No Need to be a Pro).

Owning curling irons, and wands myself I’m a big fan of curling my hair. But I can’t lie they are a bit time-consuming and I get inpatient just standing there having to manually curl every strand of hair. So a part of me always wished I had a product that took care of the work for me, I guess you can call me lazy lol. Well, wish granted! When I heard about the InstaWave my heart skipped a beat and I had to try this for myself.

I quickly received my InstaWave and took it out of the package. It is one of the biggest styling tools I’ve ever owned but what can you expect when you have a 1” Ceramic Ionic Barrel. But that didn’t throw me off at all.

Here is the InstaWave! I love that it’s just a simple black and white color scheme.

KISS InstaWave is a fully automatic tangle-free curler that instantly creates beautiful curls

As you can see it’s light-weight to hold. It is very easy for anyone to use, from any angle, with any hand

You’re probably wondering “What’s with the buttons?” Well, the Kiss InstaWave features a Curl Dial with left/right curl directions, which makes it easy to switch between left and right. It also automatically shuts off after 90 minutes, What a great safety feature! Right? I don’t know about you guys, but I always forget to shut my hot tools off… Oops! Another great feature is that you can select between 2 heat settings with a low/high switch with a maximum temperature of 420 degrees Fahrenheit.  This feature is especially useful if you’re trying to achieve different types of curls.

So… How does it work?

Here are some directions:

  • Hold InstaWave vertically
  • Simply place section of hair on the InstaWave curling rod
  • Touch the Curl Dial either left or right, and the InstaWave instantly and automatically catches and curls the hair
  • Hold for 5-10 seconds, hold longer for tighter curls and less for beachy waves
  • Pull the InstaWave down vertically, letting hair out

**Tip: Switch between curling right and curling left to create the most natural looking curls

Now that I knew what I had to do, I was ready to jump in and try it!

I followed these instructions throughout all my hair.  When I got to the left side of my head I switched the rotation of the curler.

Ready for my results?

Looks good, right?

I couldn’t believe it actually worked! I was so surprised that it actually curled my hair! I noticed that this product didn’t give my hair a tight curl, it was more of a wave, which was in part because my hair was clean. I usually curl my hair when it holds extra oil in it. For it being my first time trying the Kiss InstaWave, it came out pretty good. I definitely want to keep retrying so I can get more voluminous curls, like the girl on the box :). I’m not going to lie, I was scared of having my hair get caught in the rotating barrel, but It is true what they claim, it is a tangle-free curler. I am very satisfied with the results; Although it took me a while to get used to it, I noticed it greatly cut down the time spent on styling my hair.

My overall impression of Kiss InstaWave was a positive one. It is such a unique concept that almost makes you wonder “Why didn’t anyone think of this before?” I highly recommend this product!

I can’t wait to keep trying the InstaWave to perfect my curls!
